stuff I like(and why)

  • šŸŽ„Treasure Planet (Not sure if the link works on mobile, so I'd recommend just watching it on a computer. It's also on Disney +.) My favorite movie of all time.
"On the planet Montressor, a young Jim Hawkins is enchanted by stories of the legendary pirate Captain Flint and his ability to appear from nowhere, raid passing ships, and disappear in order to hide the loot on the mysterious ā€œTreasure Planetā€. His dreams come true when he finds the map to that very location."
It's based off of the book Treasure Island, but it's in space. That's awesome. The animation is butter smooth, there's a mix of 2d and 3d, the art direction is top-notch.
  • šŸŽ„Hackers,1995(Once again, computer recommended. Also, this one has nudity, swearing, etc. It's PG-13. You've been warned.) One of my favorite 'Bad Movies'.
"A teenage hacker finds himself framed for the theft of millions of dollars from a major corporation. Master hacker Dade Murphy, aka Zero Cool, aka Crash Override, has been banned from touching a keyboard for seven years after crashing over 1,500 Wall Street computers at the age of 11. Now keen to get back in front of a monitor, he finds himself in more trouble than ever."
This movie has one of the coolest vibes I've ever seen, and it's so stupid you get invested in the story. I watched it to make fun of it, and I did, but by the end I really wanted the main characters to win. It's a really fun movie, even if it's not super good. Also the 'Hacker Names' are amazing.
  • šŸŽ„Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure(Once agian, computer recommended. They do use the f-slur once, a product of the time. I've forgiven them, but if that bothers you, that's okay too.) So, so good. My second favorite movie of all time.
"Bill and Ted are high school buddies starting a band. However, they are about to fail their history class, which means Ted would be sent to military school. They receive help from Rufus, a traveler from a future where their band is the foundation for a perfect society. With the use of Rufus' time machine, Bill and Ted travel to various points in history, returning with important figures to help them complete their final history presentation."
This movie is hilarious and just generally a fun time. It's lighthearted, it's silly, and I want to talk like Bill and Ted all the time. Their friendship is great.
  • šŸŽ„Kamillions(It's just on youtube. PG-13)This movie is so, so bad. It is also the funniest acid trip I've ever seen.
"A research scientist and a pair of mischievous aliens slip into each others' dimensions when an experiment goes awry."
The description does not do this absolute insanity justice. The plot is...loose. There is a plot, but it's overshadowed by the, um. Just watch it. It's like a sci-fi (horror???) film(it is not scary, but they might have wanted it to be) that I quote all the time. I genuinely don't know how to explain it.
